Provox 20 series > DeltaVUsing PIA (Provox Interface Adapter) I/O cardto be removed New DeltaV System I/O panel and cable to be kept • The Provox Interface Adapter (PIA) allows to connect easily, an existing Provox Termination Panel to a DeltaV I/O card keeping : • the existing I/O panel • the existing associated I/O cable
Primary Provox Highway Secondary Provox Highway SR90 or SRx Controller I/O Termination panel I/O Termination panel I/O panels and I/O cables stay in place in the existing cabinets Process I/Os stay in place in the existing cable trays I/O Termination panel Hardware to beremoved Provox Highway to be removed SR90 or SRx Controller to be removed CP6701 Power supply and Communication Cards to be removed 1 - 14 I/O cards 20 series to be removed I/O Files (CP6701) are kept Process I/Os
Primary DeltaV Highway The new DeltaV architecture is installed Secondary DeltaV Highway I/O3 I/O6 I/O7 I/O1 I/O5 I/O8 I/O2 I/O4 PS Cntrl The new FIRELEC I/O cables are installed between PIAs and DeltaV I/O cards The I/O files are kept and used for the installation of the PIAs No active component is kept in the existing file I/O Termination panel I/O Termination panel I/O Termination panel Hardware to beinstalled CP6701 The new PIAs are installed in the existing I/O Files (CP6701) Process I/Os
Advantages • The main advantages of the PIAs • for PROVOX migration are as follow : • Existing I/O cables are just disconnected from the Provox I/O cardsand reconnected to the PIA without any change at the same place • (same terminals with same labelling and same electrical features) • The existing loop drawings are kept without any modification, • allowing all maintenance processes and procedures • to remain unchanged.
