  1. What You Learn in CSE 3! By: Eric Kimo Silva CSE 3 is a course that initiates one into the world of Information Technology. Programs that the course teaches about are some aspects of Microsoft Office, HTML/JavaScript web programming code, Alice animation, and more. Taking information we created using Microsoft Excel, we manipulatefinancial data using advanced spreadsheet skills with Microsoft Excel. You will then analyze the performance of your career related stocks and investments and make a slide show on the analysis using Microsoft PowerPoint. Overview Students make various types of HTML-based web pages to practice writing code for basic web pages. Presentation of Information with MS PowerPoint Making Information Available to the World with HTML and Web Pages Create an online Career Plan that showcases the Computer science skills you’ve learned during CSE 3. Desktop Publishing with Microsoft Word Using Microsoft Excel, students create an annual budget for ourselves for when we graduate from college, which includes the many different costs of living. They then take this information and used PowerPoint to more formally display data. Data Analysis and Visualization with MS Excel • Alice, a basic animation program created by Carnegie Mellon, multiple video animations are created, • such as: • Frogs escaping danger • An infinitely running clock • Snowman/Snowwoman Love Visual Programming with Alice Student will learn about variables, assignments, operator overloading, and conditional statements (if/else). Some JavaScript can be interactive, which we learn how to implement in our second to last lab. Dynamic Webpage Programming with JavaScript
