Need for governing principles • Behaviors (occasional) • Values (principles that guide) • Business values (commercial, corporate, transactional) • Human values • Principles that guide us in life, across jobs • This gives employer and you predictability, consistency. • Eases decision making.   10. Faith in what? • your own ability • process taking its course • higher power, the spirit

  11. Why Faith? • It gives • Confidence • Hope • Peace

(negative) Scenarios • Not successful in school, family not strong… don’t assume the worst… have faith • Friends have abandoned you during couple of key events, you may think that people are talking behind your back… have faith • You have gotten rejected in a job, or failed in an exam… have faith

  13. Have faith in yourself • Remember, this too shall pass • Passing clouds • This is NOT the end • Have confidence that • you will meet new people, make new friends and move on in life • Many have failed in exams, but passed in life • Persist, overcome failure -> that yields success

  19. When to invoke • in distress, trouble, stressed, in need of help • you need advise, ideas, insight • you need to make a decision, do something important

Prayer as conversation • When a problem surfaces, talk about it to your higher power… imagine your partner, close associate • Discuss everyday, all topics (internally, silently) • “what to do about this??” • “Pls give me fresh insight?” • “How best to handle this situation?” • Ultimately, your full day becomes divine!

Prayer as gratitude • During a silent moment, connect with divinity and say thanks for all that has happened well • Say thanks to the little things, to the big things, show gratitude and be grateful • See a beggar and be grateful that you have a meal • See a blind person and be happy that you have good vision • Be thankful that you have…

Establish a connect with your higher power • Everyday, for a few minutes… sit silently and pray • Use conversational language & style in your prayer • During the course of the day, take a minute, shut your eyes & focus internally • More than asking, sometimes just show gratitude • Have faith that prayers will be answered • Have positive thoughts & requests • Take what ever comes your way as blessings • Learn to surrender • Pray selflessely
