HRSA's 10-Year Goals for Deceased and DCD Organ Donation: An Update, Fall 2006

This document presents HRSA’s aggressive 10-year program goals aimed at increasing organ transplantation from deceased and Donation after Cardiac Death (DCD) donors. Target benchmarks include increasing the number of deceased donor organs transplanted, boosting non-DCD and DCD donors, and enhancing the average organs transplanted per donor. HRSA’s Program Goals • Aggressive 10-year goals designed to increase: • the number of deceased donor organs transplanted • the number of non-DCD donors • the number of DCD donors • the average number of organs transplanted per non-DCD donor • the average number of organs transplanted per DCD donors
