Salary • The average pediatrician salaries are anywhere from $140,000 to 160,000. • The average Pediatrician salary is $77.60 per hour. The lowest 10% earn $40.79 per hour and those in the upper 10% earn more than $80.00 per hour. • The best states to earn a Pediatrician salary are Kentucky $196,210, Iowa $206,390, Nebraska $200,280, Minnesota $199,440, and Arkansas $196,360.

Duties and Responsibilities • Working in pediatrics is a very special opportunity.  It takes commitment and the love of children to produce the best pediatrician.  With a great deal of work and a lot of dedication the process of becoming a pediatrician will come easily.  Pediatricians are very valuable doctors. • The duties and responsibilities of a pediatrician are to monitor a child's health.  Children from the newborn stage through seventeen years of age seek pediatric doctoring.  Pediatricians assure the total health care of children within that age period. 

  4. Education • Pediatrician education requirements are never ending, as you have to constantly upgrade your knowledge. You need to go through a four year undergraduate college degree after which you have to study medicine which would be for another four years. Moreover, you will also have to go through another three year residency training.

  5. Benefits & Perks  • Helping Others- Pediatricians deal with serious childhood diseases. In essence, pediatricians cure illness and save lives. This work is usually very rewarding and can be the chief motivation for going into medicine. • Flexible Schedule-Pediatricians who go in to private practice can set their own hours and create flexible schedules. They can see as many or as few patients as they prefer. • Also, Pediatricians have very large salaries!
