  3. Course Entry Requirements Leaving Certificate/Leaving Cert AppliedGenuine Interest in Engineering as a career.Commit to the required course attendance and assignments.

  4. Courses are; • One academic year duration/30 weeks. • Run from Sept-May. • Classes run from 9:00am – 12.00pm (4 days per week). • 2 class periods per module per week. • Work Placement (1 day per week). • Level 5 FETAC Qualification on successful completion of the course.

  6. Course Overview Attendance – Will be monitored and will form part of the successful awarding of a level 5 certificate upon completion of the course. Assignments - are spread across the year. Assessment - is a combination of continuous assessment, project work and final examinations. To receive the FETAC Level 5 Certificate students must pass all eight modules of the Course.

  7. Course Overview Commitment – Students will need to make allowances for additional periods of study, completion of assignments and project work outside of class time. Engagement – Students will need to engage fully in all aspects of classroom activities both theoretical and practical.

Third Level Route Students who successfully complete the course and receive the FETAC Level 5 Certificate can apply through the CAO to undertake further study in a University/Institute of Technology. More information about these links can be found at http://www.cao.ie www.fetac.ie We offer a qualified Guidance Councillor service in our school and this service would be made available to our PLC students wishing to pursue further study at third level.
