OUR OBJECTIVES, VISION, AND MISSION (ladies this is about what each of us envision for this centre, some thoughts are below) OBJECTIVES MISSION AND VISION To foster greater social interaction amongst Muslim women To provide a recreational facility which caters to the needs of Muslims women (though not restricted to just Muslims) To create a fun, entertaining and safe environment for families To provide quality services including, gym, salon, eatery, learning at affordable prices for the modern Muslim women To create an interactive learning centre focusing on traditional and contemporary Islamic issues affecting the ummah today. To provide an avenue for skills acquisition To provide a forum the engagement of topical debate & discussions, social interactions, To provide learning and intellectual growth tools for children To run a successful business To provide women and others access to Micro Finance solutions under Islamic Principles Provide sound Islamic knowledge, advice and counselling To be number one premier leisure centre for women and families

CORE FUNCTIONS AND OPERATIONS please add as necessary Learning Centre Talks and lecture, guest speakers, sisters circle, book circle Skills acquisition (sewing, painting, knitting, cooking, photography etc) Islamic learning (da’wah, courses in tajweed, fiqh, etc) Children book reading afternoons, mini kids library, Islamiyyah General shop Books centre Islamic clothing, adults and children ware Halal cosmetics, toys, general goods, etc Salon Hairdressers Spa facilities (traditional Nigerian, western and eastern - Asia) Massage services

Gym State of the art exercise machines: treadmill, elliptical/cross trainers, bicycles, weights and resistance training area Enough space to have classes such as aerobics, yoga and Pilates

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – GENERAL MANAGER please add/ reomve GENERAL MANAGER Will be determined by a vote by core members Will run the administrative (day to day?) aspects of the company Operate technical aspect – liaising with accountant and lawyer to ensure that company is following corporate regulations as set out by CAC, FIRS, FGN etc Coordinate and harmonise activities of divisions Deal with investors when the need arises Provide support to all division when required Provide leadership to consultants, drivers, cleaners etc Delegate reasonability and work schedule to drivers, cleaner etc Ensures the Centre operates and functions as a cohesive unit not just different divisions under one roof. Paid a monthly salary

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - MANAGERS please add remove Managers will operate respective divisions Each manager will take absolute responsibility of their division ensuring the customer is provided with ultimate service. In charge of recruitment, hiring and firing own team (can have input of core team if required) In charge of procurement and maintenance of equipment and environment (can have input of core team if required) In charge of design and layout of division Will have full support of the rest of the core team at every step Paid a salary
  10. COST AND REVENUE ANALYSIS We need to include a table of cost and a table of projected revenue for EACH division. Managers will have to work on this, of course with help from the rest of the core team Lets start collecting and collating invoices or cost estimate of how much equipment will cost Lets begin to consider prices of our services to customers From the above analysis we can then get an idea of how much cost and turnover the company can expect (approximately) Include cost of location where centre will be Include cost of equipment Salaries Contingency

POTENTIAL FUNDING SOURCES Traditional banks Islamic bank funding (Pakistan and Saudi Arabia) Core team individual contributions Fundraising – companies, governments, individuals Accessing Zakah funds? Family, parents, husbands, children, brothers, sisters, grandparents, the dog next door, beg, borrow, steal if you must!
  12. OTHER CONSIDERATIONS im sure there are more, please add Should the centre operate under a ‘membership’ system or just pay as you use? How do we determine share ownership of the company How do we share profit and dividends and costs Determine salary level for General Manager and Managers and other staff Selecting a General Manager DO we need to carry out market surveys? Do we need to identify our competitors?
