  1. Allen and Friends By Johnny Simpson and Mivi Hinkle

  2. Allen was a down to earth banker from Charlotte who decided to take a vacation to Vegas, just him and his good buddies wer out enjoying their time away from the wives and jobs when their car breaks down…..

  3. They all had misplaces their cell phones so calling for help was impossible. They all saw the problem; there was a lug nut in the shape of an octagon that was broken off . Allen rn to the nearest Auto-Zone and asked them for the size chart , the only problem was the chart was in barleycorn!

  4. Allen runs back and says, “GUYS! We need to find how many barleycorn this lug nut is!” “what is a barley corn?” they all reply. “Its 1/3 of a regular inch. “ says Allen. All the men stood in the normal man circle all thinking of things to do but expecting the other to actually do it. Allen finally stepped up to find the area of the octagon to eventually find the barleycorn.

  5. He first had to find the area for one of the triangles the for one of the triangles the octagon forms out of 8. he did this by finding the base of the triangle times the height divided by two, and he got 2.4 barleycorn. Then to find the whole area of the octagon he multiplied 2.4 barleycorn times 8.

  6. The final area of the octagon was 19.2 barleycorn, now all they had to do was get the replacement at Auto-Zone. After that they finally were able to start the car with the new octagon lug nut. Then they were finally off to Vegas.
