What we will cover today… • We will show you how to use this step-by-step presentation to navigate through the Department of Labor’s (DOL) website when requesting a “filing signer” credential. • BCG’s Special process for electronic filing.
To register with the Department of Labor to receive your EFAST2 filing credentials, follow these steps. • You must have an email account. This can be a business or personal email account. This account will be used for the registration process. • Use your computer’s internet web browser, such as Internet Explorer, AOL, Mozilla, or any other browser. • In the box where you type the place you want to go, type www.efast.dol.gov. The following will appear on your screen.
On the left side, under the title “Main” are several choices. Click on “Register” and the following will appear.
By using the scroll bar on the right side, you will be able to read the whole Privacy Statement.
You must click on the box that says “I have read this agreement” and then click on the “Accept Agreement” box. Then you will see a new screen.
You must answer all of the questions that have an * before the question.
When you get down to * User Type, you must select “Filing Signer” by clicking on the box. When you are done, click the box that says “Next.” If you did not complete the form correctly, it will repeat the page. Simply fix the line that is wrong and click “Next” again. A new screen will appear.
You have your choice of two challenge questions. You pick the question by clicking the little arrow next to the question box. Once you have selected the Challenge Question, complete the information and click the “Next” box.
This is the second possible challenge question. When you answer this question, click the “Next” box.
You will see all of the information you entered. If you agree with the information, click “Submit.” If you want to change any of the information shown, click “Edit” and follow the instructions.
After you click “Submit”, this screen appears. Once you click “OK”, you will return to the original screen. The instructions on this screen inform you to open up your email program and click open the email from the DOL.
This is the email you will receive. If you are NOT using AOL for your email, you can click on the first line in blue. If you are using AOL for your email, you must click on the second line.
This is the next screen you will see. Insert the same answer you used for the Challenge Question to continue. After entering the answer, click on the “Next” box.
Please read the Signature Agreement. Then follow the instructions…
You must again click on the box following “I have read this agreement” and the click on “Accept Agreement” to continue the registration.
Review the information that appears on this next screen. By using the scroll bar on the right, you will see the rest of the information
By clicking on the “Next” button, you go to the password screen.
Follow the instructions for how to create your password, and keep your password in a safe place! Once you have entered your password two times, click on the “Save” button to get to the next screen.
You can now click on the “Login” button which will take you to where you can review any of your account information.
Important Reminders before you start the registration process: • You can only have one (1) DOL user name and PIN for each • email address. • 2. Only the person who will sign the Form 5500 needs to get a user • name and PIN (usually an officer). • 3. You only need to apply for Signer credentials for the user name • and PIN you will get.
How does the filing process work? BCG will to continue to prepare the 5500 for you; the difference is in how you view, sign and file the form. Once BCG completes your 5500, our system will generate an email notifying you that the form is ready to sign and file. and will invite you to an electronic signing ceremony. The email invitation will provide you with a user ID & password to access BCG’s website for signing and filing your 5500.
Dear [UserName]:[PreparerName] has established an account for you to complete information on-line. The information obtained on-line is needed to complete your Form 5500 and attachments. Once complete, we will provide you with access to all the forms online, so that youcan print and file them with the Department of Labor.Click the URL listed below, or cut & paste into your browser.[SiteAddress]Enter your personal information:Username: [UserName]Password: [Password]When you login to the Web site for the first time you will need to answer a security question of your choosing. Remember the answer, because will be asked this question if you login using a different computer, or if more than four weeks have passed since your last login. After answering the security question, click Apply. The Relius Web Client home page will appear.To view and change user settings, select User Profile from the Main menu. From here, you may view and change your User Profile, User Settings, and Security Settings. Once you log-in, the home page will appear, where you may find important information regarding the completion of your Form 5500. What to expect when we have the 5500 ready for the client to e-file.
When you logon, this is what you will see. Enter your BCG User ID and Password.
Next is the User Profile page. This is where you can change your personal information.
Security Settings Page. You can change your security information here.
IREG Credentials Page. You can enter your DOL filing credentials here to save them for next year.
When you select “Plan Management”, you will see a screen like this listing your plan. By clicking on the RED words, you get to view the Forms and Attachments (if any) for your plan.
Once you have viewed the forms, and printed them, when you return to the “Plan Management” screen, you will see that the status has changed to Viewed, and E-File option is now available in the RED words.
You must also:1. physically print a hard copy of the return and attachments, 2. sign the hard copy return and,3. retain the signed copy in your files. How does the filing process work?
When you click on E-File, you will get a warning as shown. If everything is Ok, then click OK.
This is where the special DOL username and PIN is entered. If you saved this information on the IREG screen, it will be entered automatically for you. You only need to enter the information for the Plan Administrator. Unless the Plan Sponsor is someone else, do not enter information for the Plan Sponsor.
You can now click on “Agree and Transmit” to file your 5500.
“Change Plan to Finished”, the E-File option will disappear.
BCG Special Filing Process You authorize BCG to sign & file the form 5500 on your behalf. BCG sends the 5500 to the client for signature and date. The first two pages of the signed 5500 are returned to BCG. BCG attaches the signed 5500 pages to the electronic file and submits it to DOL for the client. The fee for this special service is $275.
