Wherefore I shall be ready always to put you in remembrance of these things, though you know them, and are established in the truth which is with (you). 13 And I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance; 14 knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle comes swiftly, even as our Lord Jesus Christ signified unto me. 15 Yea, I will give diligence that at every time ye may be able after my decease to call these things to remembrance.2 Pet 1:12-15

Peter was ready alwaysThought it right Gave great diligence • Do we know these things? • Have we memorized them? • Are they an active force in our life? • Can we call them to mind at any time? • If the Spirit inspired Peter to put this much emphasis they are IMPORTANT!

1:5 • Through these… • God’s Divine Power • Precious and exceeding great promises • partakers (fellowship) of divine nature. • escaped the corruption in world through lust • Have all this by grace; mercy; God’s Power • For this very cause – • Add on your part…(bring in on the side). • Seek to make it ours in truth by our effort!

If these things are yours & abound • not idle nor unfruitful • Make your calling and election sure. • If you do these things you will never stumble. • Thus shall be richly supplied to you the entrance into the eternal kingdom.
He that Lacks These Things • is blind • seeing only what is near • having forgotten the cleansing from old sins • Loss of all promised Blessings: • Idle, fruitless. • calling & election unstable. • stumbling. • No entrance into eternal kingdom.
