  4. SII products vs. RoHS • Mercury, Cadmium, PBB, PBDE are already not contained in any printer products.

  5. How SII tackles to RoHS

  6. All new products released from now on comply to RoHS directive, e.g. CAPG. All products are to comply to the directive in February, 2006. In addition, SII tackles to stop using PVC material in February, 2006. * Target schedule may be improved depending on future movement. SII target

  7. LTP1245 vs RoHS • SII complete compliance to RoHS directive by LTP1245 in the end of September 2004 as first case of running products. • Changed materials: Thermal head, motor, FFC, FPC, screw, coil spring • Full compatible specifications (mech. & elec.) with conventional models. • Product code changes

  8. Schedule LTP1245 new versions • Please inform to SIG your customers for LTP1245 by 30th September 2004. • SII prepares samples and necessary tools by 29th October 2004. • Deadline to switch to LTP1245 new versions is 28th February 2005.
