  2. Current situation • BSS offers GCE O levels • All O level students sit for the same coursework exam • Bifurcation based on performance in core subjects to Matric and O levels

Findings • IGCSE is more customized and student centered • Student motivation and achievement is greater • Approach to teaching is more analytical and problem solving • More variety in subject options • The core and extended options available to students • Facilitate admissions to recognized universities and colleges • Foreign transfers will adjust easily retention of students • Incentive for students and parents • Coursework can be covered in 2years instead of 3

  4. Recommendations • Its doable • Option should be given to students • BSS should have option at initial stage and eventually move towards IGCSE based on results and popularity in the market.
