AYURAROGYAM MISSION OF THE PROJECT • TO PROVE and uphold the capability and authenticity of the public sector health services in the field of elder care. • To prove the merits of community participation in a SENIOR CITIZENS CARE PROGRAMME. • to prove THE Advantages of a FRUITFUL ALLIANCE BETWEEN THE HEALTH SERVICES AND LSG BODIES . • TO PREVENT THE OLDAGE CARE FROM THE HANDS OF PRIVATE SECTOR HEALTH TRADERS. • TO ensure the equitable distribution of resources to seniors belonging to all socio economic classes. • To notify the necessity of addressing every problem of ageing ,rather than eye washes in the form of medical camps etc.

  4. OUR SUCCESS CENTRAL GOVT. NRHM HAS APPROVED THE SIGNIFICANCE AND VIABILITY OF THIS PROJECT AND HAS Proposed to implement such a project in the state level.

  5. Being implemented through community health centre, velinalloor, chadayamangalam block, kollamdistrict.from October 2008.

  7. TARGETTED POPULATION 12655 people above 65 years, of which 6208 are males and 6447 are females.Of these 12655 senior citizens, 8232 are below the poverty line.

  8. Services proposed under AYURAROGYAM INSTITUTIONAL ACTIVITIES • health cards to all • uninterrupted supply of basic and essential drugs free of cost. • Separate weekly O P for senior citizens • 10 bedded senior citizens’ ward • essential clinical laboratory facilities free of cost • Training the fieldworkers in our CHC • palliative care training to ASHA s, selected volunteers and eligible family members

  17. Yellowcards for BPL and redcards for APL persons

  18. 3.weekly geriatric O P first day. On 7th of November Attendance in O P is between 150 and 200 on every Friday.All medicines are provided free of cost to BPL category patients

  39. AWARD AYURAROGYAM BAGS AN AWARD OF JAYCEES FOR THE BEST OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT.

  40. First anniversary celebration inaugurated by superstar bharat SURESH GOPI.

  41. Budget and resources • The proposed budget of this project for one year is Rupees thirteen lakhs.the cost of medicines alone may come uptoRs.eightlakhs. • NRHM has sanctioned Rs.fivelakhsas advance to purchase medicines. • Help from voluntary organizations like Jaycees Club, various other organizations and • individual sponsorers. No money is collected from anybody
