  1. DO NOW #2 - PG. 12-17 What is the scientific method? Does the scientific method have to be followed exactly every time? Why or why not? What is the first step of the scientific method? Why do you think this is the first step? Define hypothesis. What is a controlled experiment? Give an example.

  2. DON’T FORGET: TESTS & FOLDERS DUE FRIDAY!! 6.Give an example of a situation where a scientist cannot control all variables, and therefore not have a controlled experiment. Why is it important to repeat an experiment? What happens if a hypothesis is not supported by the results of the experiment? Math Practice: If a dinosaur bone is 45 meters long, how long is it in inches? (1 foot = .305 meters)

  3. DON’T FORGET: TESTS & FOLDERS DUE FRIDAY!! 10. Imagine a question that you could answer using the scientific method. Create a flowchart of the scientific method to describe your path to answering your question. Be sure to have all possible paths.
