Timeline • January 28 - February 9 – Developed Draft Use Cases • February 10 – Meeting at BAH facility in Arlington • February 13-17 – Revise use cases • February 22 & 23 - Workshop in Boulder, Colorado at NCAR • February 27 – Revise Draft Use Cases based on Boulder Workshop • March 9 - Weather VII Use Case Kick-off Telecon • March 24 – Clarus Task Force Comments Due • March 27 – Meeting at US DOT to disposition Clarus Task Force Comments • March 28 - Weather VII Use Case Wrap-Up Telecon • March 28-31 – Revise use cases • March 31 – Received more AASHTO comments • April 5 – Sent out revised weather-related use cases
Comment Summary • Traveler Notification with Clarus: 17 commenters, ~200 comments • Traveler Notification without Clarus: 15 commenters, ~100 comments • Improved Weather Observing and Forecasting: 17 commenters, ~150 comments • Winter Maintenance: 16 commenters, ~100 comments • Pothole Maintenance: 13 commenters, ~80 comments • Many of the comments to one use case also applied to the others • The number of comments is indicative of the complexity of creating a concept of operations between 2 US DOT research initiatives, Clarus and VII
Primary Changes • Extended NOAA actor to include the Weather Enterprise • Expanded Weather Data Translator (WDT) Concept
Current Status • Merged/Aligned all Use Cases into one Model • Slight renaming of actors and use cases • Drill-down within each use case – layered model • Allocate actors and use cases to services • Developing VII Network Services • Creating VII Concept of Operations • Creating VII System Requirements Specification • VII System Security Plan out for review
