  3. Did you know? Lions are the biggest cats. Introduction Lions are excellent mammals. They are ferocious. Lions are born alive.

  4. Eating Lions are amazing predators. They eat zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, and warthogs. Lions are excellent hunting cats. They wait for the right time then pounce. Lions are big cats. Cubs learn to hunt when they are two years old. They can jump super high. A lion can eat a coyote. They also eat hippos. Lions are grand. They are excellent wildcats. Lions are amazing predators.

  5. Live Most lions live in Africa. A few lions live in Asia. Lions live in savannas. A savanna is a grassy place where a lion sleeps.

  6. Life Cycle They start their life as a cub. Their parents take care of them. Cubs drink milk. They learn to hunt. When they’re old enough they their own cub.

  7. Interesting Facts People think lions are king of the beasts. A lioness carries her cub to a new hiding place so enemies won’t find it. Female lions usually hunt and kill the prey. Lions are the only cats that live together in cool groups. Lions run 40 mph. Lions are strong animals. Lions are nurse young. Lions have lots of bones. They are tremendous. Lions care for their excellent cubs. Males are known for their thick manes.

  8. Look Like An adult super lion can weigh about 500 pounds. Lions have manes. A mane is a furry thing on a males neck. They have hair and fur all over them. Lions walk on four legs.
