  2. CAR LOGOS

  3. An automobile motor car or car is a wheeled motor vehicle used for transporting passengers, which also carries its own engine or motor.

  4. There are approximately 600 million passenger cars worldwide (roughly one car per eleven people). Around the world, there were about 806 million cars and light trucks on the road in 2007. The numbers are increasing rapidly, especially in China and India.

  5. Facts: • The first speeding tickets were given out in 1902, when the top speed of most cars was around 45 miles per hour. • The average American will spend two weeks of her life stopped at red lights. • In the 1950s, most Americans believed that by the year 2000 people would drive flying cars that flew at more than 100 miles per hour. • The world’s worst city to drive in is Manila. Terrible roads, endless traffic and a disregard for stopping at red lights make this place truly awful for driving.

  6. To drive on all of the paved roads in the United States, you would have to drive nonstop at 100 miles per hour for over four years. • Before the 1920s, cars didn't have gas gauges. Drivers had to estimate how much fuel was left, or risk running out. • The largest speeding fine ever given is $1,000,000 to a Swedish man. • Perhaps the strangest attempt at renewable energy sources for cars is Cappuccino. The ‘Car-Purccino’ costs around 50 times more to run than the standard fuel powered cars, and uses up around 56 espressos per mile!
