  9. RECOMMENDATIONS • PUBLIC COMMENTS INDICATED EXPANDING MUTCD AUDIENCE TO INCLUDE FOLLOWING EXAMPLES: • Automobile Associations • Motor Vehicle Departments • Law Enforcement • Tourist Associations

  11. RECOMMENDATION Public comments indicated the MUTCD should be distributed in a variety of methods to assure that new information is available to all interested persons.

  16. RECOMMENDATION Public comments indicated that it is difficult to distinguish between “REQUIRED,” “RECOMMENDED,” and “OPTION” conditions.

  17. MARKETING PLAN • FHWA plans to print the Millennium MUTCD so that the conditions are clearly shown. • FHWA plans to print the MUTCD in a 3-ring binder on “8 ½ x “11 paper.

  18. RECOMMENDATION Public comments indicated that a strategic outreach campaign will play a critical role when introducing this new product.
