  2. Skill 12: Deciding on Something to Do What does it mean to decide on something to do? Who can help you when you have to decide on something to do at school? Where would you get the chance at school to decide what you are able to do? When would you make that decision in class? Why would you ever need to decide on what to do at school? How should you decide on something to do while at school?

  3. Skill 12: Deciding on Something to Do OUR STEPS: Check to be sure you have completed all your work. 2. Think of the activities you would like to do. 3. Choose one. 4. Start the activity.

  4. Skill 12: Deciding on Something to Do Step 1: Check to be sure you have completed all your work. Before you can decide on something other then class work to do, you have to firstfinish all your assigned work. An assignment sheet is a great tool to have. This lists all your assignments that are due and as you complete each one you check it off as done. This way you can keep track of what you need to do.

  5. Skill 12: Deciding on Something to Do Step 2: Think of the activities you would like to do. Your teacher and you will need to brainstorm together in order to generate a list of acceptable activities you both are happy with. Can you think of any activities you would like to do when you have completed all your work?

  6. Skill 12: Deciding on Something to Do Step 3: Choose one. The activity you choose needs to be one that will not disrupt classmates who have not yet completed their schoolwork. It also has to be preapproved by your teacher.

  7. Skill 12: Deciding on Something to Do Step 4: Start the activity. You and your teacher should go over how you need to start the activities you both agreed to. Once you have discussed this you will be expected to start the activity chosen in the appropriate way.

  9. Skill 12: Deciding on Something to Do Let’s Practice Here are some suggested activities. Practice these with your friends so you can become experts on Deciding on Something to Do. School: Decide on an activity during free time in the classroom or when you have a few minutes after finishing your work. Home: Choose something to do after you have finished your homework and chores.
