  2. Description: World Class CME presents, with the support of an educational grant provided by Hologic, a breast imaging weekend for radiologists. This weekend will feature eight hours of comprehensive hands-on tomosynthesis training at dedicated mammography workstations, as well as many topics facing radiologists today from dense breast regulations to contrast- enhanced mammography. Facultywill also explore implementing tomosynthesis into a practice, advancements in breast imaging technology, high resolution imaging, 3D-guided biopsy and arti?cial intelligence. The course will be limited to 30 attendees. Upon completion of the two days, you will receive a certi?cate for your required eight hours of tomosynthesis training. The FDA approved an innovative three-dimensional digital mammography system in February 2011 that shows measurable improvement in clinical performance over conventional two- dimensional mammography. This new technology, called Breast Tomosynthesis, is expected to detect more cancers while resulting in fewer unnecessary diagnostic imaging studies and procedures. The FDA mandated that radiologists wishing to use the technology receive eight hours of case-based training in Tomosynthesis interpretation. This course, presented by World Class CME, features eight hours of comprehensive training in Breast Tomosynthesis and is supported through an unrestricted educational grant provided by Hologic. Participants will receive individual instruction in Tomosynthesis interpretation by expert faculty, at their own clinical workstations while reviewing clinical Tomosynthesis data sets with accompanying standard mammography. The course will not only ful?ll the FDA training requirement, but will also provide a unique opportunity to assess the potential impact Tomosynthesis could have for a physician’s practice.
