Welcome to the Intel® Server Configurator Tool • Purpose: • Help users identify and configure Intel® Server Products that meet their specifications and provide users with a complete and accurate system configuration parts list. https://serverconfigurator.intel.com • In this demonstration we will: • Provide a general tool overview • Highlight the features and capabilities of this tool 3

  4. Welcome to the Intel® Server Configurator Tool • Before you begin login as a Registered User or as a Guest • Guest User view is not able to view or modify quotes you have previously created and saved 4

  5. Welcome to the Intel® Server Configurator Tool • Before you begin login as a registered user or as a Guest • Not registered? Registration is easy, click on the Sign-up link next to verbiage “Not Registered” • This will take you to a page where you can create your login information 5

Main Page When the Server Configurator Tool (SCT) launches you are greeted with the main landing page A B C From the main page you will see different options for starting your configuration, as well as viewing your saved configurations Under “Key Information” there is a link that will take you directly to the Tested Hardware and Operation Systems page You can view existing quotes you created- but you must be logged in A B C 6

Main Page Feature Details • We want to hear from you, if you have feedback or request support, two options are available: • Global header – available on all pages • Right Hand Column • THOL enhancements: • Highlights new and EOL’d sku entries • Includes compatible OS list, JBOD products, and new processors Select one 7

Starting Your Configuration Selecting “Product by Product Line” takes you here: If the form factor, number of CPU Sockets or Type of CPU is most important to you, make your selection here Selecting “Product by Segment” takes you here Looking for a solution by segment, see our product recommendations here 8

Compare Page • Select your starting point, it will then go to a page where you can compare product features and options based from your prior selection • Now you are ready to select a Product Family to begin creating your custom configuration • Relevant technical documents are easily accessible via links in each table 9

Selecting a Product Start your configuration by selecting from the features list or selecting a product model number in the drop-down list As you make selections the tool will auto-fill boxes applicable to the product model selected Items with a * next to them are required and must to be selected before you can move to the next page 10

  11. Selecting Processor Options • Select a processor either by: • Cores • Speed • Or Processor Number • If you select an option, it will grey out other related fields so only viable options will remain 11

Selecting Options • Select memory by feature options • If you selected a Rack system you may have riser card options for supporting PCI Express add-in adapters • As you make selections, the Slots and Sockets boxes on the right will keep track of the total selectable items from each category 12

  13. Selecting RAID Options • In this section you will be able to select: • Software RAID keys • RAID Controllers • RAID Expanders • As you make selections, the Slots and Sockets boxes on the right will automatically keep track of the total number of PCI slots available/used 13

Selecting JBOD • Selecting JBOD options: • Pick an available option from the dropdown list • Add a JBOD Storage System option: • Clicking the link opens another window with multiple sections: • Server or Chassis: when select Model by Part Number, Lead time information may be included • Drives • Additional Options 14

Selecting Drive Options • Selecting Fixed Drive options: • Some products support internal fixed drives that can be used as boot drives or additional storage space • Selecting Drives by Drive Bay option: • Many systems have more than one drive bay. This tool has the the ability to select different drives for each drive bay 15

Selecting Options • Selecting Power options: • Select ‘Yes’ if you need Redundant Power • Selecting Networking options: • Select an item from available options • Unavailable options are greyed out and not selectable • Selecting Graphic Card option: • If needed for your system, select a graphic card 16

Selecting Additional Options • Finish up your custom configuration by selecting the additional options for your system • As you make selections, the Slots and Sockets boxes on the right side of the page will track the total number of PCI slots available/used • When you are done selecting your options click the Next button at the bottom of the page 17

  18. Creating a Saved Quote Congratulations! You have completed your configuration and are now ready for the next step! • You have completed the configuration selections, you can save your configuration by creating a Quote Name and Password. • Once you save a configuration it can be retrieved from the Main Landing page • Click on My Quotes or View Cart 18

  20. Generating a Bid Submittal 1 To create a new bid submittal go to the menu bar on the BOM page, click on Print/Export Quote, then click on Generate Bid Submittal • Step One: Select materials for your report • Step Two: Select a report name • Step Three: Review report 1 3 2 20
