IDENTIFY FAMOUS AND INFAMOUS PHARAOHS OF ANCIENT EGYPT • Tutankhamun: A boy pharaoh from the Thutmosis dynasty • Khufu or cheops: A pharaoh from the 4th dynasty who built the great pyramid of giza. • Khephren or khafre: a pharaoh from the 4th dynasty who was hated by the egyptian people because he made them suffer. His pyramid is the second one of three pyramids in the city of giza. He also built the sphinx. • Rameses ii (2nd): one of the best egyptian pharaohs. He built the temples at abu simbel. • Imhotep: he is the world’s first known genius who the architect of the first pyramid

Identify famous and infamous pharaohs in ancient egypt • Horemheb: He became pharaoh after the death of king tutankhamun. • :Ahmose he was a child pharaoh whose mother acted as regent or guardian. He freed egypt from the hyksos invaders. • Amenhotep iv (4th): he was also known as akhenaten. He told egyptians to believe in only one god, the sun god, aten. • :Seneferu he was a tough and ruthless pharaoh who married his half-sister hetepheres i. He was cruel. He built the bent pyramid and the red. • Djoser: the very first pyramid was built for him, the step pyramid. • Menes: he united upper and lower egypt. He is known as the unifier. • Cleopatra vii (7th) : She was queen of egypt who made alliances with julius caesar and mark antony.

Identify famous and infamous pharaohs of ancient egypt • Nefertiti: a queen of egypt who was married to akhenaten or amenhotep iv (4th). • Nefertari: queen of egypt who was married to rameses ii (2nd). • Hatshepsut: her father was thutmose I (1st). She seized power and became the first woman to rule egypt.
