  13. Cash Liability to Conference • All camp staff are employees of the conference • Payroll processed by accounting office • Conference invoices the camps for payroll • Unpaid invoices for payroll - accrued to $750,000 by January 2009.

Steps That Have Been Taken • Control expenses to the greatest extent possible • Direct donation appeal to Camping Board and Site Committees • EcoEternity Forest • Over $20,000 to date. • Sale of 12 acres + former director’s residence at Gretna Glen • 450,000 • Trustees approved using some funds for needs at camps • Septic system at Gretna Glen • Septic system at Innabah • Wood-burning heating systems at Pocono Plateau. • After these projects + costs of selling home and acreage • Reduced cash liability to conference to $350,000 • 2010 rate increase to base of $380.

  15. Current Situation • Capital Debt $1,500,000 • Cash Liability to Conference 350,000 • Total Debt $1,850,000 • Projected 2010 Deficit • Gretna Glen ($ 47,500) • Innabah ( 64,700) • Pocono Plateau ( 65,600) • Total ($ 177,800)

  16. Steps Currently Being Taken • Strategic Planning Process • Strengthen Ministry • Eliminate Debt • Convert assets to cash • Fund raising • We need time to allow the planning process to proceed.
