KUNINDA RULER KINGDOM • The first political group to control Uttarakhand was the Kuninda Rulers. • Around the fertile area of the Ganges and Yamuna was where the Kunindas’ empire first emerged. • The Kuninda dynasty’s Amoghbhuti was its most ruthless emperor. They used coins with the goddess and an antelope engraved on them, made of silver and bronze. • The Kuninda dynasty had two capitals: Kalsi and Saharanpur. Kalsi served as the first. SHAKA RULER • In Central Asia, the Shakas were a collection of Age tribes. Later, Shakas began to move to countries like India, China, Iran, Greece, etc. • Shakas’ entry into India and the subsequent establishment of his vast empire had a significant impact on Indian history. KARTIKEYPUR DYNASTY • After the death of Harshvardhana, people created Kartikeypur dynasty in Uttarakhand. • BasantDev was the first ruler of the Kartikeyapur dynasty, according to the Bageshwar inscription. His name is VasantDev according to certain historians. • During the reign of the Kartikeyapur Dynasty, Adi Guru Shankaracharya arrived in Uttarakhand, restored Kedarnath and Badrinath, and created Jyotirmath.
