  3. Fractions and Proportions • A Jersey Village painter estimated it would take him 34 hours to paint a house. On the first day he painted for 6½ hours. On the second day he painted for 4¼ hours. On the third day he painted for 9¼ hours. How many more hours of painting are required for the painter to complete the job? 34 – (6½ + 4¼ + 9¼) 34 – (20) 14 hours be sure to label properly
