  2. The Woman • She is a sign • Clothed the with the Sun which refers to Jacob who’s name was changed to Israel (Gen. 37:9-11) • The moon under her feet represents Rachel, who is representative of all Jewish women, especially Jewish motherhood (Gen. 37:9-11, Jer. 31:15, Matt. 2:18)

  3. The 12 stars are the 12 sons of Jacob, who father the 12 Tribes of Israel. • She is in the final stages of pregnancy of the Messiah. • This cannot be the Church since she gives birth to the Messiah. This is Israel!

  4. The Dragon • It is a sign • The Seven heads and 10 horns represent the final form of the Gentile World Empire now under Satan’s control and authority. • A third of the angels fell with Satan in the initial rebellion.

  5. Satan working through civil authorities (Herod) tried to kill the Messiah before His time. • The Messiah resurrected and ascended back to Heaven who is destined to rule the world.

  6. The Woman • She will flee into the wilderness to escape the Dragon’s attack and remain there for 3 ½ years. This is the remainder of the last half of the Tribulation. • Why is there enmity towards Israel now and in the future? • To prevent the Second Coming

  7. The Messiah’s warnings in Matt. 24

  8. The Second Coming is predicated on Israelregeneration and calling for he Messiah to save them. (Lev. 26:40-42, Psalm 79, 80, Isa. 53, 64:1-12, Jer. 3:11-18, Zech 12:10, 13, Hos. 5:15, 6:1-3, Joel 2:28-32, Matt. 23:37-39, Rom 11:25-27) • The covenants made to Israel will be fulfilled during the Millennium.

  10. Application • Obey the words of the Lord precisely. There is no reason for partial obedience. • Be at the right places and at the right times the Lord wants you at. • Church • Bible Study • Daily Devotions • Away from Temptation

  11. War in Heaven begins at the 3 ½ year mark of the Tribulation Revelation 12:7-17

  12. Satan and his demons are banished from the First Abode to the Third Abode. • First Abode: Heaven (3rd Heaven) • Second Abode: Space (2nd Heaven) • Third Abode: Atmosphere (1st Heaven) • Fourth Abode: Earth • Fifth Abode: The Abyss • Sixth Abode: The Lake of Fire

  13. 2. Results of the War: • He cannot stand before the Throne of God and accuse believers anymore. • Slanders us to God • Accuses our belief and service to Him. (Job 1-2) • Accuses our sin before God (Zech. 3:1-5) • Slanders God to us. • Accuses our sin (illicits ungodly guilt) • Accuses our thoughts about God

  14. B. He is full of wrath and sets out to destroy the Jews by the means of: • The Antichrist who will be counterfeitly resurrected (Rev. 13:3-10 • The False Prophet (Rev. 13:11-15) • C. God will supernaturally aid in the protection of the Jewish Remnant fleeing to Petra. (wings of eagles) (Exd. 19:4, Deut. 32:11-12)

  15. D. Satan will try to attack the Jewish Remnant but will be unsuccessful because of the intervention of God. • E. Satan will then persecute the rest of Israel and will be able to destroy 2/3 of Israel. (Zech. 13:6-9) This also includes Gentile believes in the persecution as well.

  16. Application: • Understand the difference between Godly guilt and false guilt from Satan. • Handle your Godly guilt by going to God and asking for forgiveness (1 John 1:9) • Know you position in Christ to counter the false guilt from Satan. 3 Keys are found in Rev. 12:11 • Blood of the Lamb (Forgiveness) • The word of their testimony (the Bible) • Did not love their lives to the death (Service to God regardless of the cost)
