what it eats Deer, peccary, crocodiles, snakes, monkeys, slothes, tapirs, turtles eggs, frogs, fish and anything it can catch.
what they look like • Height 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 feet • length 5 1/2 feet from nose to tip of tail • wight 100 250 lbs • color is yellow, tan, brown, or black
How does it gets its food Hunts mostly on the ground but sometimes climbs a tree and pounces on its prey from above.
Where it lives • Arizona • New Mexico • Texas • Mexico • Forest • rainforest • swamps • grassland • mountain scrub areas.
Threats • Human population growth • agricultural expansion • hunting and poaching by livestock ranchers.
