  2. Is breakfast really the most important meal of the day? breakfast can make or break a diet, because breakfast helps set the tone for the rest of the day. Your body responds to not eating for hours and hours by slowing down it's metabolic rate. By eating breakfast, you wake up your metabolism

  3. But I am on a diet so skipping breakfast means I am going to lose weight right? When you skip meals, you’re so hungry by the next meal you over eat skipping breakfast increased hunger, appeal of high-calorie foods and food intake at lunch after scanning.

  4. So eating breakfast helps you lose weight? Researchers have repeatedly shown that people who eat breakfast have a better chance of losing weight, and keeping it off. Research carried out at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh has shown that eating breakfast cereal in the morning helps aid weight loss.

  5. Benefits of breakfast Studies show that people who eat breakfast are more alert and do better on tests and projects than people who skip breakfast. Conversely, a hungry person can be apathetic, disinterested, and irritable when confronted with difficult task.

  6. What to avoid for breakfast Some foods can cause a spike in blood sugar that results in a major drop soon after, causing sudden fatigue: Donuts and Pastries Frozen Breakfast Sandwiches Bacon and Sausage

  7. What to eat for breakfast Look for protein without too much saturated fat. Look for whole-grain carbs. Look for low-fat dairy or soy options. Look for fiber and nutrients. Oatmeal, flaxseed, blueberries & almonds Fresh berries, yogurt, granola

  8. Breakfast is very important and should never be skipped. In conclusion, Eating breakfast helps manage your weight Keeps you more alert and focused And helps maintain a fast metabolism
