  2. Jim Crow Laws • Jim Crow Laws were laws that discriminated against most races that weren’t white especially African-Americans. • Jim Crow Laws separated other races from Whites in a public areas. • The Southern States formed a segregated society by passing the Jim Crow Laws.

  3. The Start of Jim Crow Laws • Jim Crow Laws started when the Civil War ended during reconstruction. When the 13th Amendment was passed and slaves became free Jim Crow Laws started. • The Jim Crow laws were also fueled by the 14th and 15th Amendment. • They were passed by Southerens to get around the new laws the Federal Government passed to protect African-Americans.
