  4. The Course • De-stigmatise dementia • Build empathy • Promote person-centred, holistic care practices • Improve well-being • Increase the workers’ confidence, enthusiasm and job satisfaction

  5. Evaluation • Examples of putting learning into practice • Assessed observations of practice • Formal evaluation tool • Evaluation session after 6 weeks

  6. Outcomes • Increased engagement with service users • Increased signs of well-being • Decrease in frequency and intensity of distressed behaviours • Greater use of life story work • Improvements in job satisfaction and morale
