  1. GCSE Revision Skills LO – To explore some of the ways that History revision can be done at independently

  2. Things to do first • Make a revision timetable • Read back through your notes • Make a list of anything that you are not clear about • Make a list of keywords from each topic • Decide what topic you will focus on session • Get a study partner

  3. Spider Diagrams • Start with a keyword or key question and build it up by creating a spider diagram

  4. Make some flashcards • Again using keywords or topic headings, add details from your own knowledge to the cards • Research and continue to add details • Colour code to help show links

  6. Make a story or song • Creative way of remembering facts • Great for understanding chronology

  7.   8. Reading • Miss Wright has a reading list for each GCSE topic • There is a selection of types of books including fiction that you might read to build up your subject knowledge
