King Tutankhamen (King Tut) • Found in 1922 by Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon. • The body was located in the Valley of the Kings which is in Egypt. • The discovery was famous because his tomb was very well preserved.   3. Ötzi(The Iceman) • Found in 1991 by Helmut and Erika Simon who were hiking. • The body was located near Hauslabjoch in the Ötzal Alps. • Otzi is famous because he is the oldest mummy found preserved by ice. Reconstructed Ötzi Ötzi’s mummy
