The Gospel of God • It was planned long before it happened, • It is about God’s Son, • It is about the fulfillment of Old Testament hopes, • It is about the arrival of the Messiah, the Son of David, • It is about Christ who came forth triumphant from the dead and is the reigning Son of God in power!

  5. The Gospel of God “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then He appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time…” 1 Corinthians 15:3-6a

  6. The Effect of Grace “…through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of His name among all the nations including you who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.” Romans 1:5b, 6

  7. The Effect of Grace • Calls them “saints” • Prays without ceasing for them • Longing to see them • Strengthen them • Mutually encourage each other • Reap some harvest • Preach the gospel
