  4. Rules: If the digit after the one that is being rounded is less than 5… Don’t change number Make all numbers to the right of it 0 If the digit after is more than 5… Add one to the rounded digit All numbers to the right, 0

  5. Example 2.2.1a (from book) 2700 2800 2730 Since 3 is less than 5, we keep the 7 and change all the numbers to the right to 0 The GNI per capita in Algeria is $2730 Round to the nearest hundred dollars. Solution: Visually With Rules
