  3. Behavioral ApproachWhat are the benefits or rewards of drinking? Can alcoholism be unlearned?Is a person encouraged or discouraged to drink?

  4. The Humanist ApproachDoes alcoholism give people a sense of worth they are lacking?Are people drinking to feel better about themselves?

  5. Psychoanalytical ApproachIs heavy drinking an indication of a deeper problem? Does drinking allow a person to act like they truly want to? .

  6. Cognitive ApproachWhat do people think will happen when they drink?What thoughts lead up to heavy drinking?

  7. Socio Cultural Approach Is drinking part of a culture or group dynamic?What unique pressures within a certain culture might contribute to alcohol abuse?
