What is in a Diploma? Functional skills Extended Project Additional or specialist learning Principal Learning 10 days work experience Diploma This is not the easy option!
Diploma • Vocational course • 2 full days per week • Pass all 5 aspects to get the full qualification The Diploma is available at 3 levels: Level 1 equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grades D to G Level 2 equivalent to 7 GCSEs at grades A* to C Level 3 equivalent to 3.5 A levels
What will it mean if you study for a Diploma? • Off-site • Ongoing assessments, project and coursework • Pass all 5 elements gain the award • 2 full days (Wed & Friday) at another school every week • May miss some lessons for other in-school subjects. Must keep up with workload as once begun – no turning back!
