  2. Fall Event— Jr. and Sr. High • plan an event that involves Junior and Senior High Youth • organize volunteers and food. • Examples: • youth concert, • special event, • motivational speaker, • teen outreach, • game activity,

  3. Truth In Action: Hunger and Poverty Awareness • Retreat– September 27 and 28 • Chaperones for Friday and Saturday. • Person to organize the sign-up and check for permission slips

  4. Lutheran College Night • October 20 • Someone to pick up Sr. Hi. Youth at the Church and drive them to Denver. • Take them out for dinner and go to the College fair. • Bring them home. • Person to organize the sign-up and check for permission slips.

  5. Corn Maize October 26 4-10 p.m. • Chaperones and drivers • Person to organize making the chili and buying the groceries, gather the utensils, plates, bowls, cups, brings something to drink (drink or hot cocoa), garbage sacks, etc. • Person to organize the sign-up and check for permission forms, gather admission money. • Sign up youth

  6. Rocky Mountain Synod Senior High Retreat Thanksgiving Weekend • Chaperone to drive youth to a skit rehearsal in Longmont in November • Chaperones for the event • Person to organize the sign-up and check permission forms, send out information, • Register with the Rocky Mountain Synod.

  7. Christmas Party for Junior High • December 22 • Organize and plan a Christmas party • Buffet or dinner with some kind of interactive game or dance. • This event could be held in a home. • .

  8. Christmas Party for Senior High • December 18, 20 or 21. • Organize and plan a Christmas party • Buffet or dinner with some kind of interactive activity. Karaoke? • This event could be held in a home

  9. Senior High Ski Trip • February 14- 17 • Arrange for accommodations • Discount ski tickets • Meals/meal planning • Sign up youth by February 5th

  10. Junior High Ski Day • Date is open • Arrange for accommodations • Discount ski tickets and figure total cost? Fundraising? • Meals • Permission slips • Sign up youth at least one week in advance

  11. Spring Event • “Acquire the Fire” or other weekend retreat on May 3rd & 4th • Accommodations(if needed) • Permission slips • Food/tail gate lunch in the parking lot? • Chaperones • Sign-up youth

  12. Honoring the Graduating Seniors • Arrange a celebration (honoring night at youth group or maybe a dinner for parents and youth to attend?) • Food • Help with programming (roast or something)

  13. Whitewater Rafting • Permission slips for this one (a must do) • Food • Pick a date in the summer and make reservations • Sign up youth • Costs?

  14. Summer Gathering or Mission Trip • Work with fundraising coordinator • Arrange transportation • Sign up youth

  15. Sky Ranch Coordinator • for Jr. High and Sr. High. • Advertise and sign up youth • Follow the Sky Ranch registration outline for medical and registration forms • Arrange for transportation with parents • Collect money for the event

  16. Water World Coordinator • (sometime in August) • Sign up youth • Purchase tickets • Collect money for the event

  17. Peer Ministry Leaders: Assist Youth in performing tasks for the Youth Group Peer Ministers Bulletin Board Youth Newsletter Greeters Photographers Trip Planners Youth Group Planners Church Web page Lead a small group with discussions (requires leadership training)

  18. Sunday School Curriculum –Story Teller -volunteer to help tell an Old Testament Story in any way, shape, or form.

  19. Snack Coordinators for Youth Group Junior High: -sign up people to bring snacks for Junior High Youth Group each week.

  20. Senior High: Sign up people to bring a more substantial meal for Senior High Youth Group each week. Senior High students are on the go and often come from a school activity or a job straight to youth group and haven’t eaten. We need to feed them and encourage their participation in youth group by having a simple type meal prepared for them.

  21. Special Event Coordinators:

  22. Pool Parties for Jr. Hi- Find a neighborhood pool and reserve the time. Organize the deposits and payments. Organize the food/snack for the evening.

  24. Overnights at Homes- -offer to host an overnight -arrange for food and snacks, beverages, etc. -participate in the overnight

  25. Organize field trips to visit different churches -invite parents and youth to participate, especially confirmation youth and families. -arrange for some kind of snack and food for a discussion time afterwards at church or someone’s home.

We have help sheets to know how much to shop for and a list of things that need to be done. -coordinates advertising -shopping list -sign up youth to help -decorations for the tables -coordinates food preparation and serving

We have help sheets to know how much to shop for and a list of things that worked well last year. -coordinates advertising to the congregation -shopping list -sign up youth to help -decorations for the table -coordinates food preparation and serving

  29. Summer Trip Fundraisers Coordinators to organize parents into fundraising activities for youth going on: Summer youth trip(s). Garage Sales Super Bowl Subs Other Fund raising Activities: Easter Brunch Spaghetti Dinner

  30. . Youth Prayer Support Team: -organize a prayer support team that meets regularly to pray for youth, parents, schools, families, situations, etc.

  31. SEEKERS - College Age Ministry

  32. Graduation Identify graduates, High School, College, Front Range, etc. Boutonnieres in school colors for church attendees Coordinate recognition with Pastor Secure individual graduate pictures and post at church with a brief bio of graduate. Coordinate reception for graduates Work with Senior High Youth Group to plan a Senior High Graduation Recognition Night (held during a senior high youth meeting night in May).

  33. E-Devotion Distribution Organize and distribute email devotions to our College age students. Maintain & update email listing of College age, etc

  34. Care Packages – for finals week in early December. • Publicity to get the congregation involved. • Boxes placed in narthex (1 for each college age student who is enrolled in college) • Confirm mailing - delivery addresses • Secure and deliver. Mail out-of-town, deliver in-town

  35. Easter Cards-. • Print verse in card • Distribute for signatures • Coordinate art work with Sunday School children • Mail week before Easter

  36. Seekers – Coordinate one of the following events: Fellowship/Bible Study College Sunday School Class (this would be awesome) Retreat/Servant Event Helping Hands Project Mentoring Food and Fellowship

  37. CSU- Support Campus outreach events.
