  1. Getting the Full Text of An Article from the AU Databases This tutorial demonstrates how to access the full text of an article in the AU databases.

  2. Full Text in the Databases • After searching in databases and finding an article you want for your paper, if you see links for PDF full text or HTML full text, selecting one of those links will bring you to the full text of the article.

  3. Full Text Not in the Database • If the article has a “Find It” button in the record, the database does not have the full text, but by selecting the “Find It” button you can see if the full text is available through another database.

  4. Using the Find It Button • By selecting the “Find It” button, a new window will come up that will either have a link to the database that does have the full text available or…

  5. Using the Find It Button, Continued • If none of the AU library databases have the full text of the article, there will be a link to request the article through Inter-library Loan (ILL).

  6. Requesting Full Text Through Inter-Library Loan (ILL) • Following that link will take you to a form to request the article. • All you need to do is fill in the empty fields marked with an The article will be sent to the email account you have filled in on the form. Your request may take up to two weeks to fill.
