LTO Basic Concept: Take existing display, mobilize and duplicate • Features: • Two full sized halogen lamps • Cabinet for electronics and support for LCD computer monitor • GUI display of power, temp, and light output • Easels for posters • Transport case for lamps • Transport case for cabinet and electronics box and computer • 2 photometers • 2 thermistors • Mirrors attached to lamps

LTO Interactive Concept: Interactive display that communicates the • message energy efficiency message through the senses of touch and sight. • Features: • Two cabinets to be used as stands for the lamps • One electronic analog box will be stored under the cabinet • (or out of sight) • Two or three transport boxes (one for each cabinet with folding backdrop and one for lamps) • Back-drop with embedded large analog gages: power, temp, light output • Heating coils wrapped around base of each lamp to illustrate temp differential (max heat = 110 degrees F) • Temperature sensitive film wrapped around base of each lamp • One poster on each side of the backdrop to the communicate • quality of light • Lamps are placed side by side to feel heat difference simultaneously

  5. Summary: • Final Concept may be a hybrid of the two ideas proposed • Electronics and Cabinetry can be worked in parallel • Assuming that deadline is end of December, work • orders should be immediately submitted.
