Installation & Handling Fixtures Status • Corner Block Receptacle & Lift Eye • Purpose • Supports corner block vertically to release C-Hook and to lift corner block and load on truck using conventional rigging. • Needed • 2004, 2005 • Responsible person • Allen Constable • Status • Design not yet started on receptacle • Lift eye fabrication in process H.J. Krebs

  18. Corner Block Lift Eye H.J. Krebs

  19. Installation & Handling Fixtures Status • Flux Bar Handling Fixture • Purpose • Used to remove and reinstall the flux bars that are located behind the corner blocks. The flux bars must be removed to access layer 18. The handling fixture for the side flux bars may be different than that used for the top & bottom. • Needed • 2004 (top & bottom), 2005 (sides) • Responsible person • Jim Krebs • Status • Design and drawings not yet started – December? H.J. Krebs

  20. Installation & Handling Fixtures Status • Brass Installation Fixtures • Purpose • Install brass plates in steel flux return gaps. Top & bottom fixtures are different than side fixtures. There is a separate presentation devoted to these fixtures. • Needed • 2004 (top & bottom fixtures), 2005 (side fixtures) • Responsible person • Allen Constable • Status • Top & Bottom • Design complete • Fabrication • Parts in shop • Remaining parts on order • Sides • Design scheduled to begin 12-8-03 H.J.
