  2. Meeting the needs of our Students I am a 15 year old freshman. They say our parents have the biggest gap between relating to us the children of the 21st century. Back then they didn't have Google or the Internet. We, the children of today have all these tools. Parents can’t relate to their children. So how can u expect teachers to relate to their students?   3. Key Technology Targets • Integration of technology in all curricular areas • Professional Development in the use of technology • Connectivity and infrastructure • Student/Teacher/Parent access to data

  4. Instructional Technologists • Each campus has an Instructional Technologists who assists in the integration process • Provide professional development (Texas Computer Education Association – TCEA Conference) • Curriculum and technology integration Curriculum Online

  5. Dell Mini 10 Program • Every Classroom Teacher who completed six hours of training received a Dell Mini 10 laptop • Level 1 of technology proficiency

  6. Wireless Laptop Carts • Place wireless laptop carts at each campus by department or grade level will provide accessibility.

  7. Email Accounts for Students • Windows Live provides for each student to have email accounts at no charge to the district.

  8. Student & Parental Involvement • Infinite Campus SIS system provides Student/Parent Portal for access to grades, attendance, and other critical data that encourages student success. Student Information System

  9. Professional Development • With Eduphoria!’s Workshop application all professional development is logged, tracked, and monitored. • All staff will be participating in proficiency program in 2011-2012

  10. Project Share:Teacher Web Pages/Teacher Collaboration • Teachers use Epsilen account as district web page • Teachers collaborate on Project Share for personal growth and networking to improve instructional strategies. 2010 National Education Technology Plan

  11. Bandwidth, Filtering, Antivirus • Increased bandwidth • Internet filtering • Antivirus protection • Email archiving

  12. Customer Service • Annual survey of all staff for satisfaction • Opportunities for improvement • Suggestions for professional development
