  3. Baseline Assessment Starter L1 Discussion. What is a baseline assessment? Why do we complete a baseline assessment?

  4. Baseline Assessment Main 1 L1 Task: You have 20 minutes to complete a pencil drawing of your hand. Objective: To explore observational drawing Outcomes: TIP: Remember to relax, enjoy and do your best.   5. Main 2 L2 Objective: To explore tone Task: Take 10 minutes to complete the following tasks Tone Shade each of the boxes using a 2b pencil.   6. Main 3 The Formal elements of Art L1 Learning outcomes Level 3: Identify some formal elements . Level 4: Identify the formal elements correctly Objective: To explore the formal elements. Task: These are the visual elements, can you link them to the correct definition? Tone The journey from light to dark. Colour How big something is. Scale Red, blue, yellow , green etc. Describes the surface of an object. Shape A 3D shape. Pattern A line joined up/an enclosed space. Form An arrangement of repeated motifs/shapes Texture

  20. L5 Starter Visual Analysis – Wayne Thiebaud Task: Identify the formal elements used in this painting by Wayne Thiebaud. Describe how he has used them.

  21. L5 Main Objective: To explore the work of Wayne Thiebald. Outcomes: • Task 1: Open a new PowerPoint document and save as ‘your name + Wayne Thiebaud’. • Task 2: Find a minimum of 6 images by Wayne Thiebaud and write down the title, date made and medium (material) used. Place on 1-2 slides ONLY! • Task 3: Find information about the following and write in your own words on to a new slide – • Where is the artist from? • When were they born?
