What is Aromatherapy? • Aromatherapy is the use of natural plant oils to increase psychological or physical well being • Aromatherapy mostly utilizes essential oils, which are liquids that are distilled from the leaves, stem, flower, roots, or bark of a plant • These oils can then either be inhaled or applied in a diluted form to the skin

Uses of Aromatherapy • Essential oils can be inhaled, either directly, or by placing a few drops of oil into a bowl of boiling water • Diluted essential oils can be applied to the skin during a massage. Essential oils are diluted with different oils called carrier oils • Essential oils can also be used during a bath, by placing a few drops of oil into running bathwater
