  4. Profile of Block Kandaghat Kandaghat Block is situated on NH-22 , 30 KM from Capital of HP. The Block is totally dominated by Rural areas and the main occupation of the people is agriculture & allied activities like horticulture & Floriculture. The Soil of the block is conductive for growing of off-seasonal vegetables like capsicum, tomato ginger etc. which is helping the rural people to enhance their economic standard.

MGNREGA • To provide 100 days guaranteed wage employment to a household in the rural areas. • Adult members of rural household, willing to do unskilled manual work, may apply for registratioin to the local Gram Panchayat. • the gram panchayat issue the job card will bear the photograph of all adult member of the household willing to work under NREGA and is free of cost. • The job card should be issued within 15 days of application. • A 60:40 wage & Matrial Ratio has to be maintained. No contractor & machinery is allowed. • The shelf of project and labour budget is prepared in the Gram Sabha as per the requirement of the Gram Panchayat and approved by Panchayat Samiti & Zila Parishad. • Job card holders are provided employment. • Payment of wages within 15 days is to be made and it should be through bank & P.O. a/c. • Social Audit is to be done in every Gram Sabha meeting . • Village & Monitoring Committees have been constituted in each Gram Panchayat to monitor the works • All accounts and records relating to the scheme should be available for public scrutiny.

  12. National Family Benefit Scheme • It is given on the Death of BPL family who is bread earner. Eligibility:- • Age of =18 to 64 years Documents:- • Application on claim form. • Application recommended by Pradhan/P/Secy. • Death certificate from the Authorized Agency. • Age certificate as per family register by P/Secy. • Copy of family register. • BPL certificate • Certificate from the Panchayat verifying the deceased was bread earner for the family.

T.S.C. • Under Phase –I • All the panchayats are to be made open defecation free (ODF) by conducting IEC activities. • No subsidy amount will be paid for construction of toilet. • Provision of awarding the panchayats who has done good work in sanitation through NGP & MBPY • Under Phase-II • Awareness camp at panchayat/village level on solid & liquid waste managment is to be organised. • Selection of hot spot is to be done. • Local bodies are to tieup with kabaries for collecting the solid waste. • The polythine is to be collected from hot spots identified and is to be handed over to PWD for further use in construction of road.

WATERSHED SCHEME • Prevention of soil run off • Rain water harvesting & recharging of ground water table. • Promoting sustainable livelihoods. • Regeneration of natural vegetation. • Harnessing, conserving and developing degraded natural resources such as soil, vegetative cover & water. • Plantation work.

Guru Ravidas Civic Amenities Up-gradation scheme(GRDY) • The main feature of of Guru Ravidas Civic Amentias Up gradation scheme is to provide benefit to the SC Dominated Wards by constructing Pacca path, improvement of drain by making it pacca. • Community baths and toilets & Urinals ( Separate for men and women) are also constructed under this scheme. • This scheme also covers by providing solar lights,community grounds and pits for waste material,drinking water supply,Bawaries,wells & hand pumps etc. in the SC dominated wards. • Schemes upto Rs.5 Lacs can be spent in selected one ward.
