  2. Definition Search engines are large databases that hold information about web sites. Purpose Use it to look up various agencies, local and federal, businesses All kinds of useful information Articles, newsletters New procedures, tips and techniques

Usage of Search Engine • All of the data that is searched through any search engine is stored for an undisclosed amount of time on the servers of the search engine company • AOL has a period of 30 days • If an account is held on that search engine, they then have your name and information to match the searches
