  6. CONTRIBUTION TO MARITIME SECURITY 2008 June 2008: Cmdre. Davidson takes over command of CTF 150. HMCS Iroquois, Calgary, and Protecteur form Canada’s contribution August 2008: HMCS Ville de Quebec begins escort mission for World Food Programme ships carrying food for Somalia Successfully escorted more than 36,000 tons of food – enough to feed 400,000 people for 6 months
