  1. What does the NVWA use as application for collecting data about Dutch approved establishments? • We use a standard facility program Planon (PJCC) • Program has a Java front-end and Oracle 10g backend.

  2. What kind of information do we have? • Information regarding Owner (company or person) • Information regarding Object (ship, building or legal body) • Information regarding the process of approval (from request to assign)

  3. What kind of information is not available We don’t have information about approvals concerning : • Raw milk and dairy products (COKZ;Netherlands Controlling Authority for Milk and Milk Products) • Eggs and egg products (NCAE; Netherlands Controlling Authority for eggs) We link via our website (www.nvwa.nl) towards the other Dutch bodies

  4. Information about the Owner • Object owner could be a company or a person. • Owners could have a (trading) name. In this case it will be mentioned on the approval list(s) • An owner could have more objects

  5. Information about the Object (ship, building or legal body) • Object can be a building, ship or legal body • The object keeps the approval number • The object has always one registered owner

  6. Request could have more then one specific approval types Request for approval (1/2)

  7. Request for approval (2/2) • Every requested approval type has a: • Unique number • Type code (for regulation) • Owner • Object • Workflow • Begin date • End date

  8. Which means…. • We use for each regulation one or more approval codes • Approval code is mandatory (level 1) • When a regulation can’t be settled with one approval code then: • One new approval code will be applied (level 1) or • Under the approval code a tree with specific codes will be active (level 2)

  9. Approval code (level 1) With the approval code the following items are available/registered: • Code • Definition (short and long) • EU regulation • NL regulation • For which object de code could be used • Start and end date

  10. Specific code (level 2) With the specific code the following items are available/ registered: • Approval code (level 1) • Additional information (f.e. category, activity, product, etc.) • Unique specific code (level 2)

  11. Approval number • Approval, registration, permission, permit, etc. = same number for object • Approval number and relation with object could change (f.e. change of address, owner) • Relation and object could change (new owner or new name)

  12. Challenges we see and questions we have Can you provide us with translation rules concerning values and properties of fields in TRACES? Currently we only provide the approved establishments (f.e. we don’t provide the approval number when the object is (temporary) suspended for one or more approval codes). Which status or code in TRACES is this? Can we trigger the refresh action of the provided data manual towards and in TRACES?
