  3. The Problem: Why Is History Boring? • No sense that the historical figures did not know how events would unfold or that they were fallible. • Rarely told from various perspectives-time factor • Students do not see history’s application to their lives.

  4. Music as a Method of Engagement • Invites critical analysis and discussion on important issues, engagement regardless of reading level • Opportunity to discuss bias and point of view • Increased focus on text when music is used. • Media Literacy
