  2. 11/26/2012: NERC Board of Trustees adopted CIP v5 • CIP-002-5 thru CIP-009-5 • CIP-010-1 and CIP-011-1 Version 5 Filing • FERC requested filing by 3/31/2013 • NERC is continuing to work on strategies for filing • Filing intended to facilitate smooth transition through approval process Version 5 Update from NERC

Entities required to be fully compliant with Version 4 on 4/1/2014 • Entities may need to make individualized risk based decisions depending on the time required to implement changes Transitioning all or in part to V4 early • Entities may modify their current Version 3 complaint RBAM at any point • Provide a risk-basis for any determinations • RBAM may be modified to arrive at the same result as the bright line analysis • Change must be based on a Version 3 compliant risk-based determination • Use first 50 pages of NERC petition for approval of Version 4 or the guidance document for Version 4 may be used Version 4 Status
