HIS LOVE MINISTRIES A MINISTRY DEDICATED TO REACHING OUT TO THOSE WHOM THE WORLD HAS FORGOTTEN. Theme Song for the Ministry: Love Lifted Me
OUR MINISTRY IS BASED ON: Matthew 25:35-40 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ James 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
MISSION: OUR MISSION IS TO SPREAD THE GOSPEL IN PRISONS, JAILS, TRANSITIONAL CENTERS, NURSING HOMES/ASSISTED LIVING, TRUCK STOPS, TREATMENT CENTERS AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY

REACHING THE FORGOTTEN • The crime rate for our community is overwhelming and is greater than most cities. • Georgia had 1 in 13 adults under some form of punishment in 2009 • GA Department of Juvenile Justice 2012 Budget is 286 million
LOCAL CRIME STATISTICS The Savannah-Chatham area sees a high number of parolees partly because our area sends more people to prison than other areas. The Savannah area represents 5% of current state of Georgia inmate population. About 20,000 people pass through our Chatham County Jail in a year
LOCAL CRIME STATISTICS The total cost of incarceration is about $61 Million a year in Chatham, not including probation , supervision, Youth Detention, Courts, and the Sheriff It Costs on average, $16,888 to house one inmate for a year Chatham County is spending $100 Million to expand our Jail
GA CRIME STATISTICS • Georgia is rated third in the U.S. for numbers Incarcerated or on Parole. • GA is rated sixth for the number of people behind bars.
US CRIME STATISTICS • 1 in 30 are locked up or on parole. • The total cost of incarceration & probation is about $50 BILLION a year in the US. • The US has 5% of the World's Population and 25% of the prisoners. • Over 90% of the people in prison today will be released in the future. • 700,000 people will be released from prison this year. (Over 1900 a Day) • In 2008, the U.S. had 754 inmates per 100,000 people. • Prison spending outpaces all except Medicaid
WE NEED TO SAVE OUR COMMUNITY His Love Ministries wants to help: • those who have had a life of crime to build a future. • uplift individuals. • Help them become self-sufficient.
NURSING HOME STATISTICS • The fastest growing area of the US Population is the elderly. • About 70% of Nursing Home residents do not have anyone who visit them. • One woman I know is here in a nursing home, yet all of her family lives in another state, what a tragedy. How many are there like her?
STAGGERING STATISTICS • From 1900 to 2000 • 4 million over age 65 in 1900 • 12 million over age 65 in 2000 • In the last 100 years a growth of 8 million!! • From 2000 to 2050 • 12 million over age 65 in 2000 • 86.7 million over age 65 in 2050 • In the next 50 years a growth of 74.7 million!!! • Is the Church prepared to handle the next 50 years?
BIBLICAL CHARGE • Jesus is about to go to the cross and He prays for God’s protection and while He dies for the sins of the world He takes care of His mother. (John 19:26-27). • The first ministry coming out of the church is the care and concern for the widows. (Acts 6:1)
WHERE TO FROM HERE? • IN THE SPIRIT OF THE ELDERS IN ACTS 6:1 “THE WIDOWS ARE BEING OVERLOOKED!!” • Pray • Give • Go James 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

WE NEED PEOPLE WHO WILL: • PARTNER WITH US TO PRAY • GIVE OF THEIR TIME AND/OR FINANCES • SING OR PLAY MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS • TEACH BIBLE STUDIES, OR PREACH • VISIT, BE THERE FOR OTHERS • TALK ABOUT SPIRITUAL NEEDS • MENTOR AND/OR COUNSEL
WE NEED PEOPLE WHO WILL: • TEACH LIFE SKILLS AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE MINISTRY TO INMATES • MINISTER AND SHOW LOVE TO YOUTH • VISIT, DELIVER BIRTHDAY CARDS, AND SING WITH NURSING HOME RESIDENTS
WE BRING THE MESSAGE OF HOPE TO THOSE WHO HAVE LOST HOPE THE GREAT COMMISSION Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
OUR NEED • Your ongoing investment in our Ministry will enable us to continue to effectively serve even more people who need love, attention, and someone to show them they care, which will in turn make a better community. • Every inmate who's life is changed by Christ and stays out of the penal system saves us (the taxpayer)money. • The average cost of incarcerating an inmate is $16,888 a year.
OUR NEED • Even if we only see one saved a year, we have one less person on the street that is capable of stealing, hurting, or even killing someone. But we saw 82 saved in 2011 and 72 saved so far in 2012. • If we keep FIVE inmates from committing more crimes and being locked back up again, we have saved the taxpayers $84,000 and recouped more than the cost of one year of ministry by us. • This money spent to make our community safer is well spent. • We want to change our community with your help!
We Need Your Help • We need some men volunteers for the Prison and Transitional Center to teach the Bible. Help teaching life skills, and Substance Abuse issues from a Christian Perspective • We could also use a couple for Coastal Harbor Treatment Center; the youth are really hungry for the Word and full of questions. • There is also a need for someone to help at Nursing Homes with music and teaching. I need a man to teach, it doesn't matter about the music help. • We need 100 more regular givers at $10 month to continue ministering at the current level
OUR CALLING MANY WILL NEVER HEAR THE GOSPEL AND BE SAVED IF WE DO NOT REACH OUT TO THEM IF WE CHRISTIANS DON’T GO, WHO WILL???????
